Amazon FNSKU label generator

Print a Code 128 FNSKU label with the title and condition, from one row or a file.

An FNSKU is Amazon's code for your offer in its fulfillment network. Since 31 March 2026, a seller who is not the brand owner needs an FNSKU label on every unit sent to Amazon. The label generator prints a Code 128 label with the FNSKU, the product title, and the condition, ready for a sheet of labels or a thermal roll. Not sure you need one? The three-question checker tells you.

How do I print a small batch?

  1. Open the label generator. You can try it and see the sample without an account. Downloading the PDF needs a free account.
  2. Add one row per product: the FNSKU, the title, the condition, and how many labels you need. Tick Sold as set only when the unit is a set.
  3. Choose the template that matches your label stock.
  4. On a sheet that is partly used, click the first empty position. A roll prints one label per page.
  5. Check the preview. A wrong FNSKU shows the reason instead of bars: An Amazon FNSKU has 10 characters and usually starts with X00. Copy it from Seller Central.
  6. Download the PDF and print it at 100% or Actual size, never Fit to page, on matte white labels.
  7. Scan one label before you label the rest of the batch.

For a whole catalog, see printing from a Seller Central file or labels in Excel and Google Sheets.

Which template fits my labels?

Thermal roll 2.25 × 1.25 inThermal printer roll1

A4, 63.5 × 33.9 mmA4 sheet24
A4, 70 × 37 mmA4 sheet24

The page starts on Avery 5160 for US English browsers and on the A4 70 × 37 mm sheet elsewhere, then remembers your last choice on this device.

What is printed on the label?

From top to bottom: the Code 128 bars, the FNSKU centred under them, the title, and the condition on the left. A long title is shortened in the middle with an ellipsis, so its start and end both stay readable. A set adds the line Sold as set – do not separate. The label is black on white, with no border or logo.

The conditions are New, Used - Like New, Used - Very Good, Used - Good, Used - Acceptable, Collectible, and Refurbished. Every Collectible grade prints as Collectible. A row can print up to 1,000 labels, and a title can be up to 500 characters.

For print shops: the PNG is drawn at 300 DPI, and the PDF uses the same bars with the Noto Sans font. The white margin beside the bars starts at 0.25 in. On a narrow label the margin shrinks to the template's edge; if the bars still do not fit, the label shows: A 10-character FNSKU does not fit on this label.

What about sets, poly bags, and the old barcode?

  • A set of several items needs its own FNSKU. Do not stick one item's label on the outside of the set.
  • Cover the manufacturer barcode completely. A scanner that still sees the UPC, EAN, or ISBN can receive the wrong product.
  • On a poly bag, put the label on the outside, or use a label that scans through the plastic.
  • This is the unit label. Carton labels, shipment labels, and expiry or lot stickers are separate jobs.

Which codes are accepted?

An FNSKU has 10 characters. Codes that start with X00 are recognised anywhere on the site, even with auto. On the label page, codes that start with B0 are accepted too, because some FNSKUs look like an ASIN. Spaces are trimmed and letters are made upper case. Anything else shows: An Amazon FNSKU has 10 characters and usually starts with X00. Copy it from Seller Central.

One account can print 50,000 labels a day, and one PDF can hold 10,000. The preview never counts toward that limit; only labels in a downloaded PDF do. For developers, the label routes are in the API reference.

Frequently asked questions

Is FNSKU the same as SKU or ASIN?

No. An FNSKU is Amazon's code for your offer in its fulfillment network. A SKU is your own stock code, and an ASIN identifies the catalogue page. Copy the FNSKU from its own field in Seller Central.

Can I reuse one FNSKU across sellers?

No. The FNSKU belongs to one seller's offer. Another seller gets a different FNSKU for the same product.

Which label sizes can I print?

Avery 5160 on US Letter, thermal rolls of 2 × 1 in and 2.25 × 1.25 in, and three A4 sheets: 21 labels of 63.5 × 38.1 mm, and 24 labels of 63.5 × 33.9 mm or 70 × 37 mm.

Do I need a thermal printer?

No. A laser or inkjet printer prints the sheet templates on matte white labels. A thermal printer prints the roll templates.

What happens if I ship unlabeled units?

Amazon can refuse them at the warehouse. Label every unit before you send the shipment, and check the requirements for your account in Seller Central.

Why does my FNSKU start with B0?

Some FNSKUs are 10 characters and start with B0, like an ASIN. Copy the value from the FNSKU field, not the ASIN field. On the label page, codes that start with B0 are accepted.
